Fave PFW Show | Balenciaga

My deepest apologies for not posting Sunday or Wednesday. I felt like it was the right thing to do given everything that has happened around our world recently. And I’d like to take a moment to give every continent out there, my deepest condolences, my thoughts, my support, and my love. Everyone in Paris, Nigeria, Lebanon, China, and Syria and more, I’d like you to know that the whole world is watching and standing with you.

Onto some less tragic and depressing things in Paris, Paris Fashion Week. PFW is a time for all fashion people alike to come together and pull out all the stops with their outfits and their shows. Balenciaga has always been a favorite show of mine to see (online of course.) For the past three years, this lovely and edgy fashion house has been run by Alexander Wang. Wang has recreated the essence of Balenciaga and made the house into something new, modern, and chic. (Not that it wasn’t before) This was Wang’s last show and he definitely went out with a bang. From the all white collection, to sprinting down the runway, and taking selfies Wang made his last show count! The entire collection was dreamy and eye catching. All the creams, eggshells, and whites made for the perfect all white collection. Balenciaga is known for edgy and uber chic designs, and Wang held nothing back when trying to stick with that. All of the elements used to make each piece were chic in their own way for sure. Elements like: lace, linens, silk, frayed edges, and feminity. With a nostalgic and iconic soundtrack of “Going Back To Cali” and “California Love” Wang sure made the show feel that much more laid back and effortless. With people like Zoe Kravits, Bella Heathcote, Lineisy Montero Feliz, and Riley Keough walking in the show, his all star cast of models with bodies not typically like other models, reminded us of the natural and normal vibe that Wang always gives us. Bravo to Alexander on his final show with Balenciaga and can’t wait to see him go onto amazing things! Have a great week and stay safe!
