Super Oversized Green.Β

Recently I went to Durango, CO for some lunch and downtime with my family, and I figured it was a good time to pull this ginormous button up I purchased from a thrift store awhile back. I’ve been extremely hesitant to wear it out because of how large it is and how it basically swallows me. Nevertheless, I love the color and I knew it would add an edgier element to my already simple outfit. Adding oversized pieces to any outfit can be tricky because it can seem a little out there for some people. But my biggest piece of advice when wearing oversized pieces, is to just let go and completely disregard any thought of what someone might say or think about it. Have a great weekend and stay fab!!

Trending: A Shearling Situation

I realize that it’s already March and the hot summer months are close ahead, but I couldn’t let the cold period end without shouting out the iconic piece that is: a denim shearling jacket. This past Christmas I asked for the Levis shearling jacket and got it and fell immediately in love with it. I love how bulky and boxy it is, while still looking fitted and clean cut. When I asked for it, I didn’t even have any of the people who’ve worn it in mind, I just really liked it. So I was very ecstatic to find out that it had become a huge trend in the fashion world. It’s comfortable and versatile which are two big factors for me when choosing outerwear. I love the extra dimension it adds to my outfits, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s insanely warm and cozy for chilly winter months. If it’s attracted people like Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Zendaya, or Elsa Hosk, then I’m definitely on board! Take a look at some of my favorite looks with a denim shearling jacket and have a great weekend! Stay fab!

{This is the only actual pic I have of me in the jacket, but it’ll do!}

Velour Factor.

Unsurprisingly, one of the biggest trends to hit the scene this past year is everything and anything velvet. It’s taken the entire world by storm and become a fashion phenomenon. After a long time of waching from the sidelines, I finally hopped on the train and got a velvet piece. This blazer was actually purchased from a Salvation Army thrift store in my town, and I’ve been infatuated since. It’s a little small on my arms so I suspect it won’t last long in my wardrobe, but for the time being it’ll be my ultimate staple piece. While I’m usually not one to mix formal and casual pieces quite like these, I figured it’d be a good experiment. And in the end, I’m in love. Had a great week and stay fab!

A Suede Story.

When I’m in a crazy bind outfit-wise, the first thing to always pop in my head is a cover up of sorts. Whether it be a jacket, button-up, or even a sweater. It’s not at all for modesty or to literally cover up, but to add a different element to my outfit. In this case, it was my suede button-up which is one of my most proud thrifting finds. I find that pairing didferent textures like suede and leather creates a more dramatic and memorable look 9/10 of the time. And what look of mine would be complete without a white tee?? Hope you have an amazing weekend! Everyone stay fab!!

PFW Kickoff with Saint Laurent

It’s that time of the year again!!! PARIS FASHION WEEK! Since I was in 8th grade and Instagram was having its coming up, I discovered this phenomenal time of the year which is known as Paris Fashion Week. In all my life I’d never seen anything more glamorous, chic, eclectic, and unpredictable as fashion month. It’s the time of the year where the fashion community gathers to see the best collections that fashion has to offer. To start off my personal favorite city to look upon, Anthomy Vaccarello showcased his second collection for Yves Saint Laurent. Since last season when he took over and brought back the full name and logo, the fashion world has been highly anticipating his next collection. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The collection was ΓΌber chic and brought out some new 80’s glamour vibes. The collection brought to life so many new trends like shoulder shearling, patent leather, vinyl, dramatic shoulders, and even different shades of leather. With a finale of party ready dresses with fabrics like velvet, glittery chain mail, and the most insane boots I’ve ever seen, the collection was ingenious from start to finish. Have a great week and stay fab! (Check out my favorite looks below!)
