Disney Day

It’s no secret that my happiest times are spent at Disneyland. It’s the one place in the world that I can truly say I feel unabashed joy. There’s always something extravagant and breathtaking at the turn of every corner so you’re always on your toes! One of my favorite parts about going is showing out in well thought out, chic, yet undeniably Californian outfits. I like to pair simple and chic staples, with something Disney related like this cropped sweatshirt with my all black, monochromatic pieces. Something comfortable and breathable is ideal especially because of all the walking mixed with the Cali heat! This first look is all of that jumbled into one. Have a great week and stay fab!!

Vintage Dior & Dad Sneaks

I’ll be on my way to California by morning, so I figured a quick post wouldn’t hurt! I am absolutely 100% infatuated with this Vintage Dior knit that I scored awhile back! It is one of those rare finds that reminds you why you thrift/vintage shop in the first place! I’m very glad I found one in black because it’s so easy to  style and pair with! Obviously I chose my classic and most favorite pair of Levis 501s to give a 90’s vibe to the look. To continue the 90’s vibe, I threw on these insane vintage New Balances I thrifted. They’re my $6 version of the Balenciaga Triple S and I couldn’t be more in love! Have a great weekend and make sure to stay tuned for all my Cali antics & looks! Stay fab!!

Pastel Plaid & Denim Cut-offs

If this post doesn’t get you straight into the spring mood, I don’t know what will! It is once again that beautiful time of year when everything looks like spring, but most days it feels like we’re back in those bone-chilling winter months! Besides the fact that I live in a city with some of the most bipolar weather known to man, I’m immensely excited for the warm weather to completely take over. I’m definitely a winter person in terms of my dressing, but when it comes to everything else, I am such a summer person!

This spring I plan on incorporating a hell of a lot more color than I ever have before, why am I doing this you might ask? Simple. In the past I’ve focused a lot of my attention on staying with the current trends of the season, but I’m trying to steer away from that now. Obviously pastels and bright colors alike, are a common spring trend, but I’m not doing it for that reason at all. I have always loved when people have the ability to mix and match colors and make it look absolutely effortless. That was kind of my goal with this look! I recently purchased this stunning vintage DKNY JEANS orange & yellow plaid blazer and it  just completely changed my life. It has such a unique, timeless, yet fresh fit and design, there was just no way I could resist. Ishot these  immideately following this purchase, and I’ve never been more pleased with a purchase and set of pictures! I attempted to tone down the look a bit by layering the most classic and chic spring/Summer combo: a white tee and vintage denim shorts! I felt like it added a really cool, Californian vibe to an already quirky yet polished look. The Stan smith’s were basically the cherry on top of an A1 lewq (yes, in case you haven’t heard, it’s lewq not look). All in all this is an outfit I would be more than happy to be buried in because it’s that good hahah! Have a great week and as always stay fab!

Unconventional Denim & Grey Checked Trousers

You may be wondering “what does he mean by unconventional denim” or you may not. Either way, what I meant by that is that I’m currently on the prowl for different ways to style a denim piece, this being one of them. I’ve always admired the way some people in fashion have a knack for coming up with new ways to style certain pieces. A fanny pack over the chest, sweaters as scarves, and even layering belts! The options are absolutely endless!

I buttoned this denim jacket kind of assymetrically to give it that dope look of the thousand dollar Balenciaga denim jacket that i dream about. It’s a simple trick that has a monumental impact on any outfit! I paired it with these new trousers I thrifted. Grey plaid had a huge moment this past fall, and I intend on carrying it out through spring/Summer! It’s such a timeless print, with endless amounts of  styling options. I love the contrast of the grey & green from my Stan Smith’s so much! It’s a color combo I never thought I’d find myself utilizing, but I looove it! Also, this baby Adidas bag is on major rotation right now in my wardrobe. It’s classic, easily portable, and so fucking cute I can’t even comprehend. It’s the perfect finishing touch to an already, “fire” outfit, good one huh?! Have a great week and stay fab!

Final days of Winter.

Spring could not possibly seem further away! It feels as though Winter was like a big, ugly pimple you just can’t get rid of no matter how hard you try. No matter how many times I made myself believe it was nice outside, nothing seemed to be changing. Until now. It’s finally that time of the year when you can physically feel the seasons changing. Cloudy, wet and brisk days turn into sunny, bright and warm ones. One of my favorite times of the year is when a season transitions into another. It’s a time to dispose of the old, and welcome in the new, in terms of wardrobe and in general!

A personal favorite way of mine to welcome in a new season is by pairing a comfy knit with my favorite pair of jeans. It is a simple yet ingenious way to keep yourself warm and ready for whatever the day throws at you. Also, adding a statement boot or shoe, like these snakeskin boots, can help to give this transitional look a little extra flare. So when you’re hysterically deciding what the perfect transitional outfit is, just go with the comfiest jeans you have, a killer sweater, and some eye catching footwear, and you’re alllll set! Have a great week and stay fab!

Suiting with a little Lace.

What makes fashion so exciting is that it’s something anyone can put their own personal spin on. Everyone has their own personal sense of style, whether they’ve identified it or not. We as humans are entitled to have our own thoughts, feelings, and yes, personal style!

For me, something I like to play around with is mixing masculine and feminine pieces. Delicate textures like lace and red satin coincide with the edgier and more classic ones (like denim) to make a very fresh and modern look! This lace t shirt was an absolute godsend from ASOS!! It’s one of those pieces that you just know you’re going to be together forever. I feel the exact same way towards these 501s, they’re versatile, simple, yet one of the most classic and chic fashion statements of all time. Also, the circular shape of this gorgeous red satin bag I thrifted awhile back, brings a timeless yet modern feel to the look. I like adding a pop of a single color into an outfit because it gives it some more depth. Do not be afraid to take a risk when it comes to your outfits. Mixing masculine & feminine pieces is a full proof and easy way to make an outfit a little more interesting! Have a great week and stay fab!

Keeping the Belted Blazer alive

One of my many favorite aspects of fashion is that it is ever evolving and ever so diverse. Everyone’s heard the “trends come and go” saying but to me a trend is about more than wearing what everyone else is. Trends are a big part of fashion because it allows people to have something in common, while making it their own and interpreting it how they like!

One of my favorite trends is the belted blazer (obviously)! As I’ve said before, the belted blazer was introduced to me by Emmanuelle Alt, the E.I.C of Vogue Paris, when I was scrolling through street style pictures one day. The look she was wearing caught my eye instantaneously and suddenly all I wanted to wear was a belted blazer! Something about the chic, poised, and almost luxurious feeling that it evokes has me infatuated. It’s a really easy and quick trick to add some “oomph!” to a look! I want to know what trends you guys are into right now! Let me know in the comment!! Have a great week and stay fab!¡
