The Teddy Takeover.

If you know anything about fashion and it’s history with the ever so luxurious thing that is “teddy”, then you know it didn’t start with iAmGia’s pixie coat. The teddy material was pioneered by the historic brand MaxMara. The MaxMara teddy coat is hands down one of the most covetable items that any fashion girl/guy can own. It is the epitome of Italian luxury! I myself have had countless dreams of bundling up in a giant MaxMara camel, teddy coat. It is truly the coat to end all coats. Somewhere along the way, the teddy trend spread across the world like a plague. Retailers from all walks of life began churning out their own takes on the teddy trend like their lives depended on it. Retailers like Forever21 (which is where this cozy jacket is from) are making affordable and chic alternatives to the beautiful (yet incredibly expensive) MaxMara original. I’ve never had a problem with dupes, that is until it reaches a point that is just completely tacky. Certain things are ok and in my opinion should be made more accessible to the common people of the world who don’t have 10,000 to spare on a garment.

The forest green shade of this jacket, combined with the modern cropped fit make it my new favorite piece of outerwear. I’m beyond obsessed with the sheer versatility of it and how easy of a piece it is. Of course, the classic Levis 501 ct. pairs beautifully with just about anything, and my Urban snakeskin boots compliment the jacket magically as well. I love adding a bold print like snakeskin to an otherwise simple outfit because it is the simplest and most effective way to elevate any look. Happy 2019 and have a great week! Stay fab babes!

The Shittiest Two Months of my Life.

Holy shit has it really been two months since my last post?? FUCK. I have fallen behind on so many things in my life but the one thing I’m most destroyed by is my blog. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, my blog is my baby (and from the looks of it I’d be a ludicrous parent in every way possible). I’m not completely sure how I let myself fall so horribly behind on my posting, but I know that it was most certainly not purposeful. A shit ton of stuff has occurred in these past two months and I’m not gonna lie there’s been periods when I’ve doubted myself beyond the point of return. Things I never dreamed would be thrown at me, were thrown at me and I didn’t handle any of it healthily that’s for damn sure. I won’t get into the gritty details (to spare you and myself the pity), but I want you to know that I have every intention of getting back on track. Now I know what you’re thinking, “Where have we heard that one before?” Yes, I realize I say that every time I fall behind on posting but at this point in my life it seems that my blog could be the one thing that can bring me complete and utter joy. So anyways, my shitty and immensely convoluted life aside, how has everyone been?? How’s life? What did I miss??

Onto the stuff you (maybe) actually care about- the outfit. I’ve been on a serious shoe binge lately and to be honest, my bank account is paying for it…hard. These Topshop strappy sandals went on sale literally days after I purchased them at full price, but I swear I wasn’t even bothered a smidge. They’re so incredibly, me, that I couldn’t pass them up!! On an incredibly unrealistic and difficuly quest to find a dupe for the ever so chic Phoebe Philo era Céline strappy toe sandals, I stumbled upon these emerald colored gems. At a fraction of the price of the actual sandals, I absolutely could not resist. Although they squeeze my feet in painful ways I never knew possible, I’m absolutely infatuated with them. They compliment a plethora of pieces in my wardrobe and yes I am just telling myself that to make me and my bank account feel better about blowing a hundred bucks! And what about it?! Not only do they transform any outfit instantaneously, but they’re the statement shoe I’ve been mindlessly scouring for my entire life. I am obsessed with the way they pair so harmoniously with these sick vintage velvet Wranglers I found awhile back! Obviously I had to polish off the whole mime-vibe of the look and throw on my trusty ASOS striped top. Throw in a subtly bejeweled mini top handle bag, and you’ve got yourself a lewQ! Hope you enjoyed my blabbering after all this time! Have a fab and safe Halloweekend loves! Stay fab!

Spud Lake

Hellloooooo lovelies!! In case you were wondering, I am in fact still alive and well even though my lack of posts says otherwise. I recently had a longtime, extremely close friend visit our hometown and I soaked up every last second spent with her! She does not get to visit often but when she does we have the most fun imaginable. Because she comes from Texas she doesn’t get to see the mountains very often so doing a hike was a mandatory activity. We hiked a beautiful 2 mile trail that lead to an insanely scenic lake called Spud Lake. It was quite the work out, but like all hikes, worth it in the end! Also I figured it was far past due that I jump on the bike shorts trend, so like any crafty blogger I cut some old Target workout leggings and voila!!! A chic pair of shorts for every occasion! Have a great week and stay fab!

Glittery Cardigan & Vintage Denim

Some days it is quite the task to put together an outfit that I deem both chic and comfortable enough. There are many factors that go into deciding this, but the most important thing I look for in a great outfit is the way it makes me feel. Outfits like a t shirt and jeans make me feel calm and collected, while looks like this one that are a bit more “glitz-y” make me feel sexy and confident. I love incorporating standout pieces like this sparkly cardigan with classic ones like vintage Levis shorts because it’s a great contrast to add to any type of look. This is definitely a look I could wear over and over again! Have a great weekend and stay fab!

The Salmon Jumpsuit Special.

This is hands down my top contender for my favorite look while in California. I got this jumpsuit like 2 days before leaving after days of endless speculation and deciding on whether it was “me” or not. Obviously I decided it was. When I first laid eyes on this beauty, I wasn’t too sure what it would look like actually on me, but the second I tried it on I knew it was destiny. I’ve been a huge fan of WhoWhatWear’s collection for Target since it’s release, and that has not stopped at all since then. The clothes they’re designing are chic, fun, and classic pieces for the everyday fashion girl/guy! I also love the fact that they’re taking today’s biggest and most chic fashion trends and making them more accessible to the public. This jumpsuit is one of their more unique and bold pieces, so naturally I had to give it a go. It’s crazy comfortable and super versatile, which are two defining factors I look for in a great piece. Also it was on sale, SO WHY NOT? Have a great week and stay fab!

Disney Day

It’s no secret that my happiest times are spent at Disneyland. It’s the one place in the world that I can truly say I feel unabashed joy. There’s always something extravagant and breathtaking at the turn of every corner so you’re always on your toes! One of my favorite parts about going is showing out in well thought out, chic, yet undeniably Californian outfits. I like to pair simple and chic staples, with something Disney related like this cropped sweatshirt with my all black, monochromatic pieces. Something comfortable and breathable is ideal especially because of all the walking mixed with the Cali heat! This first look is all of that jumbled into one. Have a great week and stay fab!!

Golden State of Mind.

I’m baaaaaaaaAAAck!!!! Miss me?! I sure missed blogging! So I know I said I would be updating from Cali, but to be honest something comes over me in California and it’s like when I’m there I just completely space off my real life responsibilities and duties. Anyways, I had an otherworldly time at Disneyland, spending time with my family, eating anything even remotely considered “junk food”, and just basking in all the greatness that Cali has to offer! I truly live my happiest moments while I’m in California, and it’s not just because of Disneyland (which is a big factor). It’s because it is a place where I feel 100% without a doubt comfortable and well, happy! I also love to pull out all the stops in terms of my wardrobe. It is appropriate given the fact that where I live is not in the slightest bit stylish. When I say “stylish” I mean the people just don’t understand the things I wear and all the intricacies that come with fashion. In Cali, no one bats an eye, and some even compliment my looks! Stuff like that just does not happen in New Mexico, so you can imagine my excitement!

This look was a super quick and comfortable fit that I threw on to do some light souvenir shopping (which rapidly turned into a 2 hour long trip). I’m obsessed with these vintage Adidas track pants I got awhile back. Not only are they crazy comfy, but they’re very reminiscent of the Y2K vibe that I’m so wildly into right now. To add to the vintage nature of this outfit, I threw on my trusty old New Balance dad sneakers and called it good! At first I was skeptical to pair the two together because I felt it would be a little too much, but they complimented each other harmoniously! No outfit of mine is complete without a white tee, so naturally I gave it a nice west coast twist by tying a knot. I find it to be a simple yet chic way to spice up a summer look! There are so many more pictures that I’m dying to share with you guys so make sure to stay tuned! Stay fab my friends!
