Pinstripes & A Cropped Hoodie

Hiya! Yes I’m alive and well, even though it may seem otherwise due to my absence. Sometimes my life gets to be so much that I just completely space off things like blogging and then randomly remind myself to post!

This look is my attempt at incorporating black back into my wardrobe. Not that it ever really left, but I definitely stopped wearing it as much as I used to. This coming season is going to be all about pastels and bright colors, so naturally I have to go against the current and do the opposite! Haha just kidding! But seriously, I’m a guy that loves his color, but there will never not be an exceptionally special place in my heart for black. I recently thrifted these pants, and I’ve never been more satisfied with a purchase. They have a great fit and the pinstripe pattern has always been a big fave of mine. It’s a fun pattern that can be styled in a plethora of ways. One of those ways is with a cropped band hoodie, and can I just say, they work together outstandingly! Have a great weekend and as always, stay fab!!

Earthy Vibes.

Not going to lie, this is most likely my most favorite outfit post of 2018 to date. Even though we’re not even a full month in, I still think it’s a top contender. This blazer makes me feel like a box, but a very chic box at that! The blazer compliments this outstanding pair of 501’s almost melodically. The dark wash/selvedge denim look is something I’ve not always embraced, but am slowly learning to love. I think why I’m so obsessed with this outfit is because of how well each piece pairs so beautifully together. Also peep this amazing louis that I actually stole from my mom but that’s beside the point! It’s amazing and I love it!! Have a great week and stay fab!

Cropped Sweatshirt & White Denim

My long search for the perfect white jean has finally concluded!! White denim is such a versatile and timeless wardrobe staple and I feel like I jumped on the bandwagon a bit late, but better late than never right?! These are vintage Wranglers that I thrifted the other day and they’re honestly so beautiful to just look at. A beautiful stark white wash, vintage fit, and noticeably made with expert craftsmanship! All of those things are what I was searching for in a white jean, and I’m finally victorious! I knew the second I got these that I wanted to pair them with my snakeskin boots! They’re obviously my new favorite shoe, but not only that, white and snakeskin are insanely complimentary to one another! I hope everyone has a wonderful week and as always…stay fab!

Snakeskin Boots x Payt

It’s 2018!!! I can’t believe how fast 2017 flew by! I’m so excited to see what 2018 holds in store for my life, education, and blog. I try not to psych myself & my year out, but this time around I have a good gut feeling about the year. To my new readers, future readers, and readers who have been with me from the start, I want to thank you for your consideration and support. So, buckle up for a damn good and stylish ride in 2018!

My close friend and ever so stylish twin Payton and I (who I have interviewed before here) did a little shoot with the infectiously kind and graceful Maddy Lucas and I’m soo excited to show you guys these shots! Maddy is so exceptionally talented behind the lens, and she really makes you feel confident and powerful. When Payton told me she was doing a shoot and wanted me to tag along, I immediately thought of my brand new snakeskin boots. The second I saw these babies on Urban Outfitters, I knew I had to have them. I gushed and oogled over them for awhile, before having the thought of just asking for them for Christmas! So I did and when I opened these that cold and magical morning, I was submerged in joy. They are the perfect cut, fit, style, color, and honestly they’re just the. Perfect. Shoe. SO, being the twins and somehow connected minds we are, Payton and I both received an uncannily similar pair of shoes. The next step was obvious to us both….a photo shoot! We both love having our picture taken, so it was just the perfect opportunity! The photos turned out STUNNING and I’m in love with practically every single one of them! I wanted my outfit to be something laid back and classic, but with a quirky and unexpected twist. Which is why I paired the snakeskin boots with a delicate and timeless piece like the cardigan. I will do a separate post of my single shots taken with Maddy on the same day, so stay tuned! Have a great weekend and as always, stay fab!

12/25/17

As I write this, I lay in bed wide awake with no hope of sleep anytime soon. It just so happens that it’s also Christmas Day as of an hour ago my time, and honestly that blows my fucking mind. I have no recollection of 2017 but all I know is that it drained me. Not only was it personally draining, but as a world & a human race, it was especially draining. My mind is currently racing with thoughts of what I’ll be opening tomorrow and there’s also an ongoing battle of whether Rey is Luke Skywalker’s daughter or not?!?!

This outfit is a prime example of my uniform this winter. A comfy turtleneck, even comfier denim, and even comfier slip ons! Can you tell I’m all about comfort for winter? Living in a desert, when we experience a season, we experience a season. We get all that the season has to offer, so obviously that means when it’s cold, it’s COLD! Because it’s so cold, my instinct is to automatically reach for my comfortable and minimal pieces. Also, I love tucking  long sleeves into vintage denim because it gives me the ultimate 90’s vibe that I’m flat out infatuated with. Add some croc skin slip ons and you’ve got a comfy, yet ultra chic winter fit! Have an extraordinary Christmas and an even better rest of your break! And always stay fab!

Checked Blazer & Vintage Tee

I have been on a serious blazer kick for the past few weeks. I’m not completely sure how it started but I do know that I have no plans of stopping anytime soon. Blazers, especially oversized ones, add a distractingly cool and chic feel to any outfit. They’re so much fun to experiment with, that I decided to go out of my comfort zone and pair it with a vintage graphic tee! This particular blazer & tee combo is one that I fell instantaneously in love with. At first I was skeptical that the pairing would look odd together, but I soon realized that they complimented each other sublimely. Have a great weekend and stay fab!

Black x Black.

This holiday season, I’m trying to incorporate fresh and unique pieces into my looks because I’m in the process of rediscovering my personal style. Don’t ask why or how I came up with that, but I did and I’m stickin to it!

My personal style has always been very trendy, but uniquely me, and I love that! It’s just that I want more from my personal style. I want to feel like a showstopper on a daily basis! I scroll through my Instagram feed and I see women & men who are unashamedly themselves in terms of their personal style. Sometimes I feel like I get too caught up in what everyone would say or how on trend something is, and my outfit ends up becoming no longer for me, but for everybody else. I want my personal style to be 100% fully & truly….me. I don’t want to dress for others, I want to dress because it’s what I love and what brings me the most happiness. So, what “rediscovering your personal style” looks like for me, is attempting to morph my own personal style by looking at it in a completely different fashion. I’m tired of thinking about if something matches or not or if people will compliment my look, I just want to feel good in what I’m wearing. Who gives a fuck if my shades of green don’t match, I’m wearing them & you’re not. I’m all for people being wacky and fun with fashion. In fact, it’s recently become a major obsession of mine. I’m so infatuated with the people I follow in the fashion industry because they all are so distinct in their own ways. Think of it this way, you would never catch Leandra Medine & Caroline Vreeland wearing the same thing. They’re two different & amazing women with killer senses of style & their differences are what makes them, them.

This outfit is the first step of my process of rediscovering my personal style. It’s simple, with little intricate details. For instance I used a knit sweater instead of a plain black long sleeve because it adds little yet impactful details. Also, matching the silver metallic shoes with the western belt was a last minute detail that really hit home with me. I felt fulfilled when wearing this because I was warm, comfortable, and let’s be honest I look hella chic. Have a great week, and stay fab!
